Most prosthetic restorations are produced digitally – while many dentists still base their clinical practice on analogue procedures. The use of intraoral scanners offers dentists the opportunity to take advantage of the many benefits of digital applications in prosthetic dentistry.
The modules in this discipline will cover all aspects of the digital production line from tooth preparation strategies and clinical use of the IO scanner to clinical decision making on proper restorative materials.
You will acquire the necessary technology behind the intraoral scanners and how the technology affects clinical procedures in prosthetic dentistry.
The two modules that we currently offer are 'An introduction to digital dentistry' and 'The Crown'.
These modules take place at the state-of-the-art Colosseum Dental Academy teaching centre in Oslo, Norway.
